Wicked casts Alexia Khadime and Lucy St. Louis, the first time both Elphaba and Glinda have been Black.

New casting for Wicked on the West End has been released today, and it makes history.

Returning to the role of Elphaba is Alexia Khadime, and she will be joined by Phantom of the Opera star Lucy St. Louis in the role of Glinda. This will be the first time Glinda has been played by a Black actress on the West End, and also the first time both the witches have been played by Black women at the same time.

The current cast are scheduled to play their last show on March 5th 2023, with the new cast stepping into Oz on March 7th 2023.
